Are you on Ausgrid or Endeavour Energy?
Every Level 2 job is lodged with the network that owns the wires in your street, and the paperwork differs between the two. Type your suburb and we will tell you which one you are on. We are accredited for both, so either way you are covered.
A guide only. Network boundaries can split a single street, so we always confirm the network before we lodge anything.
FAQs
Your questions answered
Curious about Level 2 electrical work? Here are the questions we are asked most, so you can make an informed decision before you book.
What services do Level 2 electricians provide?
Level 2 electricians offer specialised services that connect your property to the electricity network. That includes meter installations and upgrades, overhead and underground service mains, consumer mains, private power poles, switchboard upgrades and disconnections. They are trained and licensed to work on the network side of complex residential and commercial electrical systems.
How do I know if I need a Level 2 electrician?
If the work touches the wires between the street and your switchboard, you need a Level 2 electrician. Common signs include a new meter or smart meter, an upgrade from single to three phase, a damaged or sagging service line, a private pole that needs replacing, a temporary builders supply, or a written notice from Ausgrid or Endeavour Energy. A regular electrician is not authorised to carry out that work.
Are Level 2 electricians licensed and insured?
Yes. Every Level 2 electrician must hold an electrical licence plus a separate Accredited Service Provider authorisation from the network operator, and must carry public liability insurance. Our team holds current accreditation and insurance, and we supply the compliance paperwork for every job we complete.
How long does Level 2 electrical work typically take?
Most jobs are completed in a single visit. A meter change or service line repair usually takes two to four hours, a switchboard upgrade takes most of a day, and a private pole replacement or underground mains install can take one to two days depending on access and trenching. We confirm the expected duration in your quote before we start.
